Crises expose children and young people to significant physical and psychological harm, disrupt their development and learning. Mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) address children's mental health and psychosocial needs during crisis. Despite children's natural resilience, without proper support, these challenges can worsen. Effective MHPSS programmes work across multiple sectors to enhance wellbeing and mitigate the long-term effects of adversity, providing vital support for children and their caregivers to recover and thrive.
