Throughout 2024, the Wednesday Webinars for Wellbeing series highlighted diverse approaches for children, youth, and families’ mental health and wellbeing in humanitarian settings. Some of the topics included integrating mental health support in early childhood development, using sports for MHPSS in humanitarian settings, supporting parent and caregiver wellbeing, addressing the impact of climate change on youth mental health, coordinating MHPSS across child protection and education, evaluating MHPSS interventions, and exploring challenges in defining and gathering evidence in MHPSS research.
The series is planned and presented by the members of the Child and Family Thematic Group under the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) MHPSS Reference Group.
